The Interlock is a handcrafted hardwood cutting board designed for the kitchen that deserves something more distinctive than ordinary butcher block.

Measuring approximately 12" × 13" × 1.5", this substantial board combines the warm, understated character of Cherry with the vivid red-orange tones of African Padauk and the deep, nearly black contrast of Wenge.

At the center of the design is an intricate repeating geometric pattern. Padauk forms a series of interlocking squares across the surface, while slender Wenge accents travel through the design at changing angles. Against the softer natural tones of Cherry, the contrasting hardwoods create a pattern that feels architectural, modern, and completely unique.

Crafted, Not Printed

Every line and every color in this board comes from real hardwood.

There are no stains used to create the contrasting pattern, no printed graphics, and no artificial coloring. Each element is individually cut, assembled, glued, shaped, sanded, and finished by hand.

The result is a piece that reveals its construction around the edges as well as across the cutting surface—a detail that makes the craftsmanship part of the design.

Designed to Stay on Display

While built to function as a premium cutting and preparation surface, The Interlock was created with display in mind.

Its approximately 1.5-inch thickness gives it a substantial feel, while softened edges and rounded corners provide a clean, refined profile. Rich Padauk and Wenge accents continue through the edge of the board, allowing the pattern to remain visible from virtually any angle.
